The indoor/outdoor exhibition being organized at the venue of the Symposium is aimed at showcasing subsystem products, models, photographs, modules, multimedia presentations and for formal/informal interaction with various vendors, R&D Organizations, Govt agencies and Users. This is an excellent business opportunity.

Due to overwhelming demand for stalls during IRSI-05 and IRSI-07 the numbers of stalls are increased from 75 to 100. The stalls both indoor and outdoor are centrally Air-conditioned.

The VENUE: The NIMHANS CONVENTION CENTRE, Bangalore INDIA is an ultra-modern, centrally Air-conditioned, conference facility, with state-of-the art audio visual aids, comfortable seating arrangements for 4 parallel sessions, indoor/outdoor exhibition area, spacious Dining Hall and Kitchen.

(All Foreign participants are requested to carefully read these guidelines and observe strict compliance to avoid last minute problems.)

1) The facility for duty free temporary import will be available only to those who have remitted the participation fee in Foreign Exchange ( In the case of IRSI ,in USD)

2) Temporary import is allowed under ATA Carnet System and /or against Undertakings ,Bond.or Bank Guarantee as required by the Customs authorities in India .

3) All Consumable Items intended for retail sale, give away, should be cleared only after paying applicable custom duty.

4) Participants of those countries which are not availing ATA Carnet Facility, their temporary import will be governed as under:

a) The Participant will be required to produce a guarantee from their respective missions in India .

b) If the mission does not guarantee the exhibits, some local Indian company , acceptable to the Commissioner of Customs must give guarantee.

c) Incase the participant can not comply with (a) or (b) above they will have to produce a Bank guarantee under Customs Notification 3/89 dated 03-01-89 to the tune of 150% of the assessable value in case of restricted goods & 115 % assessable value in case of OGL goods.This % may change from time to time to suit customs requirements

d) The goods will be re-exported within a period of 6 months from the date of import or any other period ,as may be stipulated by the Customs Authorities in India .

e) Charges as applicable to be paid by the exhibitor to FICCI for items imported using ATA-Carnet facility.

For all display and returnable materials , it is mandatory to use ATA Carnet to avoid duty payment / delay, while customs clearing. For help/ guidance, exhibitors may contact the agents listed below.

Consumables, / gift items/ commercial brochures are not to be included in ATA Carnet. Instead they are to be sent under a separate invoice/ airway bill. Customs duty will be levied according to the valuation done by Indian Customs authorities for consumables / gift items.

SHIPMENTS TO BE CONSIGNED ONLY TO BANGALORE AIRPORT AND NOT T0 OTHER PORTS IN INDIA .

All consignments should reach Bangalore Airport before December 5,2009 latest.

If need be ,the Organisers of IRSI will provide space for safe storage of shipments, before the commencement of the show. All necessary transport/ labour charges are to be paid by the exhibitor.
